Terms of service.

The rules for using Bloom's marketing site and platform. Plain-English where we can, precise where we have to be.

Effective March 12, 2026 · Last updated August 12, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Bloom website at bloompact.ai (“Site”) and the Bloom platform services. This Site and the Bloom platform are operated by Bloom One LLC (“Bloom,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Delaware limited liability company. Bloom provides website hosting, donation processing, SEO optimization, email automation, Google Ad Grants management, and donor management tools for animal shelters and nonprofit organizations.

By accessing this Site or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this Site.

1. About Bloom

Bloom One LLC is a for-profit technology company that provides a managed growth platform for 501(c)(3) animal shelters and nonprofit organizations. Bloom is not a nonprofit organization. Our services include building and hosting websites, processing donations, managing SEO, running Google Ad Grants campaigns, automating email communications, and providing donor management tools on behalf of our client organizations.

2. Platform services

For organizations

Organizations that sign up for Bloom receive a managed suite of services as described on this Site. Specific terms of the service relationship between Bloom and each organization are governed by the applicable service agreement.

For donors

When you make a donation through a Bloom-powered website, you are donating to the nonprofit organization that operates that website — not to Bloom. Bloom facilitates the transaction as a technology provider. The organization is the merchant of record for your donation, and Bloom does not take custody of your funds.

3. Donation processing

Payment processing

Donations made through Bloom-powered websites are processed by Stripe or PayPal, depending on the organization's configuration and the payment method you select.

Where your money goes

The receiving organization is the merchant of record for every donation. Each organization connects its own Stripe or PayPal account, and funds settle directly into that account. Bloom never takes custody of donation funds, never holds them, and never disburses them.

Bloom is compensated through a platform fee that is disclosed to the organization in its service agreement and applied at the time of the transaction, and through the optional donor tips described below.

Processing fees

Donation processing incurs a fee set by the underlying payment processor (Stripe or PayPal). Standard rates are generally around 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction for cards, but actual fees vary by processor, payment method (e.g., ACH, PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay), card type, currency, and any negotiated or nonprofit-specific pricing the organization has in place directly with the processor. Donors may be given the option to cover the processing fee so the organization receives 100% of the intended donation. If the donor does not cover the fee, it is deducted from the organization's share. For current published rates, see stripe.com/pricing and paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/paypal-fees.

Platform tips

Donors may be given the option to add a voluntary tip to Bloom to support the platform. Platform tips are:

  • Separate from the donation to the organization.
  • Retained by Bloom One LLC as revenue.
  • Not tax-deductible as a charitable contribution.

This is how Bloom sustains itself. We do not charge organizations platform fees or monthly subscriptions.

Finality of donations

Donations are intended as final gifts. Because the receiving organization is the merchant of record, that organization sets the refund policy that applies to your donation — some organizations on Bloom do not offer refunds at all. The policy that governs your gift is on the Terms page of the website where you gave. Bloom does not hold the funds and cannot overrule an organization's policy, though we will always act on an unauthorized charge or a refund required by law.

If you believe a donation was made in error, contact the organization directly or email us at [email protected] within 60 days of the transaction. Our Refund policy explains how requests are handled and who issues them.

Tax deductibility

Donations made to 501(c)(3) organizations through Bloom may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Tax receipts are issued by the receiving organization. Optional platform tips paid to Bloom One LLC are not charitable contributions and are not tax-deductible. Please consult your tax advisor.

4. Recurring donations

What you are authorizing

When you choose to give monthly, you authorize the receiving organization — and Bloom as its technology provider — to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Before you complete the donation, the checkout page shows the amount of each charge, how often it recurs, and the date of the first charge.

  • Amount. The recurring amount you selected, plus any processing fee or platform tip you chose to add. This amount will not change unless you change it.
  • Frequency. Monthly, on or about the same calendar day each month, unless a different frequency is shown at checkout.
  • Duration. Your authorization continues until you cancel it.
  • Payment method. Stored in vaulted form with the payment processor. Bloom does not store your full card or bank account number.

Changing or cancelling

You can cancel a recurring donation at any time, without contacting anyone, from your donor account on the organization's website at /account/recurring. A link to your account appears in every donation receipt. You may also cancel by replying to any receipt, by emailing [email protected], or by contacting the organization directly.

Cancellation takes effect immediately and stops all future charges. It does not reverse a charge that has already been processed — see our Refund policy. If you cancel and are still charged, contact us within 60 days and we will refund that charge.

Receipts and notice

We email a receipt after every recurring charge. If the recurring amount ever changes, or if the card on file is about to expire, we will email you before the next charge.

Failed payments

If a recurring charge fails, we may retry it before the next scheduled date. If it continues to fail, the recurring donation is cancelled and we will email you so you can restart it if you would like.

5. Payment methods

Bloom-powered websites may accept credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), PayPal, Venmo, ACH bank transfer, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Which methods appear on a given donation page depends on the processor in use for that organization and which methods the organization has enabled. Stripe supports cards, ACH, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. PayPal supports the PayPal wallet, Venmo, and cards. All payment methods are processed securely through the applicable processor, and sensitive payment information is never stored on Bloom's servers. All transactions are processed in U.S. dollars.

6. Marketing site

This Site (bloompact.ai) is Bloom's marketing and informational website. Information submitted through contact forms, demo requests, or other forms on this Site is used to respond to your inquiry and, with your consent, send you communications about Bloom's services.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bloom One LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims arising from your use of this Site, your violation of these Terms, or any fraudulent transaction you initiate.
